1. What about liquids?

a) The container itself is made out of rotation-molded polyethylene, which ensures there are no seams, therefore no ground water can enter the container and no liquids from the waste can escape from the container.
b) The lid is made to perfectly fit the container and as the user lid stays closed when not in use, rainwater will not accumulate in the container.
c) If the waste contains excessive liquids, a lifting container equipped with a liquid reservoir will be used instead of a regular lifting bag. This prevents the liquids from leaking into the bottom of the unit.

2. How long does a lifting bag last?

From our experience of over twenty (20) years world wide, a lifting bag that is properly and regularly emptied should last for many years. In restaurants for example, a new bag is required approximately every eight to nine years. For household, light commercial and park use the lifting bag should last even longer, often more than 15 years.

3. What about vandalism?

We have found that Molok® containers do not attract vandals as do conventional bins. For example the framing does not attract graffiti 'artists' as there is no smooth surface to paint on. Also, if there is an intentional fire inside the unit, the fire will not spread, but rather extinguishes itself due to the structure of the container and relatively low oxygen level. This provides an additional safety feature compared to other types of containers.

4. Is there alot of maintenance involved?

Molok® containers are designed and constructed to last for many years with minimal maintenance. Your service provider looks after emptying and you can usually have them do additional services if required. Normally all that is needed by you is light cleaning of the exterior due to dust and pollen from the environment. If there is an issue, your service provider will notify us and we will then contact you to arrange a time when we can come and do the maintenance.

5. How long is the emptying process?

Normal emptying takes just under two minutes per container. Please take a look at: Quick Collection Video

6. Is the organics container a composter?

No. Because Molok® containers are installed partly underground, the low underground temperature keeps the waste cool, as in a refrigerator. This slows down the decomposition minimizing odors
