Before: A site overwhelmed with mess
- The busy city site location receives donations – including materials not in good enough shape to use, and this has encouraged illegal dumping.
- The staff had to haul very heavy containers long distances, and over curbs for city pickup – 218’ to get recycling and organic bins to the curb. It was another 182’ to reach the dumpster up a hill.
- This was time-consuming, requiring multiple people to take out of the garage, taking them away from their primary roles of caring for animals and risking injury.

The Story
Our local Sales Consultant, and dog lover Holly Washuta dropped into the location out of concern; wanting to understand why the place was such a mess and how she could help.
While we are experts in managing waste, we know most people are not. We’re here as waste consultants; to help walk businesses and organizations through their options, and support them along the way.
With support from a local alderman who was impressed by Molok installations at Ridley College, the Humane Society quickly went ahead with the project. Estimating the volume was tricky as the site was so cluttered.
The plan moves them away from city carts and uses an M 1300 organics bin for animal waste. And for garbage and recycling each have a dedicated M 5000 containing 5000 cubic meters of waste.
The 5 local collection companies provided quotes for the crane lifted containers. Volunteers have come in to clean up the site and everyone is truly delighted to see the difference.
